Before Aynabaji, Nabila was also approached to work in movies but she refused those offers because she was not interested working in the commercial cinemas. Nabila was approached by Amitabh Reza Chowdhury by chance. Amitabh Reza Chowdhury is also her most favorite director and her role in Aynabaji is her dream role. For the role, Amitabh Reza Chowdhury was looking for a young girl, who would look beautiful without makeup.
In Aynabaji, Nabila’s character Hridy is an average Bangladeshi girl. Chanchal Chowdhury’s character’s name is Ayna. The two live in the same area and fall in love with each other. Before meeting Hridy, Ayna was not a good person. After falling in love with Hridy, he wanted to change her life.
To prepare for her role, Nabila read books and watched other movies. She also did training on acting, mouth exercises, and dialogue delivery. To become familiar with the environment, Nabila and Chanchal did a pre-shoot location visit. For both of them, it was a new experience. No other movie maker did such a thing.
While shooting, Nabila was very excited. She often made mistakes and did re-takes but when Amitabh shouted “superb” she became very happy. Aynabaji was shot for three months. The maximum shooting was in Puran Dhaka and a minor portion in Manikganj.
